When this box arrived at our house last week, it was a happy dance kind of day. I’ve always loved Peeps – you know, the sugary coated marshmallow bunnies and chicks? I know, I have six year old taste. BUT Peeps have grown up a little bit, and you can do more than eat them too!

We sampled a few, of course, and my favorites are the Peepsters! They’re little truffle-like, individually wrapped chocolates filled with marshmallow creme. YUM. I also really like the chocolate-dipped chicks. You need a sugar shot, that’s your best bet =) After we’d had our fill, I pulled a few out for The Boy’s Easter basket. He will get a hollow chocolate egg with a Peeps chick inside (how funny!) and a single large Peeps bunny in his basket {along with crayons, a coloring book, two Beatrix Potter books and sidewalk chalk}.

After we’d eaten our share and hidden away the few for his Easter basket, The Boy and I decided to do a little ‘candy project’ with more of the Peeps stash. He thought he was in heaven. =) I pulled out a few old canning jars, and we filled them up with jellybeans, our dyed plastic Easter eggs, and Peeps!

I popped the jars up on my mantle. They’re super cute, and decorations don’t get any easier! Tomorrow I may make Rice Krispy treats with Peeps (for real. See?) And there will be a bowl of those Peepsters on my Easter table, if there are any left by then =) Do you love or hate Peeps? What would YOU do with all these Peeps?!
